To Go Back To School or Not To Go Back To School
Lately I've been contemplating on rather going back to school is a good idea or not. I really don't want to seeing how I've been in school all my life. I mean for the first time in 16 years I haven't had homework in the fall season! It's a great feeling to have and a huge relief not to be up all night working on whatever project I was assigned. I know that there are a lot of opportunities available with an associate degree in graphic design. However, I have too many voices around me saying go back to school you'll make more money or that I should do it anyway cause it's the thing to do. At the moment all I want to do is design, that's my passion! With schooling and working hand in hand it drained me. All I know is that for the time being I don't want to go through that again anytime soon. I've put in the hard work to learn what I love to do better. Going back right to school isn't out of the question just a matter of when and how I'll do it. That's a tough decision for a lot of people to make these days. Especially when they want to go to a four-year school from a community college. Mainly for the opportunity and advantages it can get them so to speak. At one point of time I even was going for that option right after I finished up my degree at my community college. Like many other students I found it difficult for my credits to transfer to the school I wanted. I changed my mind after a while and for the moment don't regret it.
While reading a post about this subject one of my favorite bloggers, Nubby Twiglet, wrote this... "Whatever you decide, you have to make the right decision for YOU. One thing I’ve learned the hard way is that you can’t worry about all the “what if’s” in life. Even if you perfectly plan everything out and take the route that you’ve deemed the most practical, you’ll still encounter challenges. It’s never too late to follow your dreams. So I guess needless to say at this moment in time I not going to worry about the "what if's". Just see where things will take me and make whatever best decision is right for me with the present time.
